Popular Pastry Recalled by General Mills.

General Mills,  the national food sale giant, has issued a recall of the popular Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls.  The recall came after broken pieces of plastic were discovered in some of the pastries during a quality assurance test.

The Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls with Icing are sold throughout the United States, and are a very popular frozen pastry item. Last week, the company discovered that a mistake at one of its factories may have resulted in broken pieces of plastic being mixed into the dough which composes the pastries.

The recall affects 8-count single packages and double packages with sell-by dates in October 2013. Any person who purchased the rolls is advised to throw them away or call General Mills for a replacement. Consumers should not eat the rolls under any circumstances.

The product recall does not affect other types of Pillsbury Cinnamon Roll products. There have been no reports of injuries from customers consuming the cinnamon rolls.
